Devlog #3 – Performance, Stability & New Features
Development of GameTranslatorAI continues at full speed, and this phase has been packed with meaningful improvements.
One of the biggest changes is a complete overhaul of the Settings section. Translation preferences, API configuration, and performance options have been reorganized into a cleaner and more user-friendly experience. We're also continuing to improve settings persistence to ensure your preferences are saved reliably between sessions.
We've introduced multiple translation performance profiles, including Stable, Balanced, Extreme, and Overclock, allowing users to choose the speed that best fits their hardware and API limits. Additional customization options are also in development.
Behind the scenes, we've been stress-testing GameTranslatorAI with large Ren'Py projects. These tests have helped us discover edge cases, improve dialogue detection, eliminate skipped translations, and refine the filtering system so that only player-visible text is translated.
We've also continued improving error handling, validation, and the overall stability of long translation sessions. Every round of testing makes GameTranslatorAI more reliable and brings us one step closer to the first public release.
More exciting updates are on the way. Stay tuned!
